Behind the Scenes of When in Rome

All my books have started with a great deal of research, and this one was no exception.

Indeed, it may have required more than any other. Before, during, and after several trips to Rome, I found myself talking with a wide variety of sources, including (but not limited to!) current and former nuns, real estate brokers, tour guides, and clergy. I tried to do everything in Rome that my protagonist did, and that led to some fun and unusual detours, like running laps in St. Peter’s Square late, late at night.
